2004-2006 Chase Logs
During these years I was primarily a local chaser only. I knew very little to nothing about forecasting. My approach was first to wait for a storm to be in progress nearby and just go after it. Then, I started paying attention to the forecasts before hand. Eventually In 2006 I was made aware of SPC and began to teach myself how to forecast. I was also very limited in technology, I did not acquire a laptop or GPS until 2007. These logs represent my rookie years as a local chaser.
04/20/04 – IL – Major event in northern IL is also my very first planned intercept!
03/30/05 – IL – First documented storm intercept! Hail up to quarter size from local supercell. [Video only]
10/02/05 – IL – Severe storms – Pea Hail and lightning. 
6/21/06 – IN – Straight line winds and rainbow.
