Home      About      About the Site
Allow me to shed some detailed information about this site.

The main purpose is that of any chasers personal site. To show the photos, videos and tell the stories of my chasing adventures. However, there are so many chasers with so many websites out there. I did not want mine to be just like everybody elses.

Too many sites out there look the same. I want this site to be a little bit different. For that reason I chose to place my menu bars on the side rather than the top. A problem with allot of sites is NOT ENOUGH CONTENT. You could spend 10 minutes there and be done. I definitely do not want that to be this site. I pride myself on having allot of content to share. The amount of content here is growing by the day. I have years and years worth of stuff to add and since the weather never stops new content will always be available.

That is one of the reasons I waited so long to launch a site. I wasn't even expecting to have one now, nor did I plan on it. However, the hosting company was having a sale and I decided to jump on the opportunity to save knowing eventually I did want one. I tinkered around with it for an hour and became hooked.

Another problem with sites is they seem to cater to only a certain crowd. Weather sites are either way too technical for the average person to enjoy or too simple for an enthusiast to get anything meaningful from. Here I hope to solve that. I try to explain things a little more, so rather than just saying "CAPE values weren't enough to spark storms." I will try to explain what CAPE is in hopes those who are less educated can actually learn. Basically I don't just want to cater to the needs of storm chasers, rather I want everyone interested in the weather to be able to enjoy it here.

I also don't want to stick to JUST storms. Although storms are the main focal point for the site, there are other areas of related interest as well. Storms are part of nature and the outdoors and I like to take pictures of all sorts of outdoor related stuff. I hope these sections will help set this site apart from the rest.

This site will undergo tons of change. I eventually want to make it interactive, and it is my hope that people will remember this site as not just another chaser site of little interest. Everything I mentioned above is what helped mold the site into what it is today. I am not a web master and building this site has been a major learning process. I don't ever plan to get rid of it, as I continue to increase my knowledge about building websites I will undoubtedly learn new skills and in turn make the site even better.
