Chasing is extremely abusive on a vehicle. If you care about your cars pristine condition than it might not be the hobby for you. Well, you can chase, just stay clear of the storm itself which to me can be a bit boring. 

 

Here are some of the battle scars my vehicle has suffered in its first year of chasing. Many more to come.

 

Hail dents on the hood. Tennis ball size hail 4-26-09. Golf ball size hail 6-7-09.

 

 

Hail dents on the roof. Same dates as above.

 

 

Cracked windshield. 3-23-09 [I have no idea how this didn't get worse on the above dates!]

 

 

Vent shade ripped off by 50+ mph cross winds. 4-26-09.

 

 

Scrapes from driving through downed tree debris after Edina, MO tornado. 5-13-09

 

 

This was all from this vehicles first year chasing. We'll see what she can endure though the 2010 season! It takes a sturdy, well built vehicle to handle the most aggressive lifestyles, for that I will always choose FORD!
