  Current Chicago Radar

I chase in 2006 Ford Expedition. Yea, its not great when it comes to paying for the gas but everything else about it fits me well. I need a large vehicle for my lifestyle. When Im not chasing Im traveling across the country and I need to haul lots of gear and sometimes people.

I have allot planned for this truck. I bought it in November of 2008 after my former chase vehicle, a 1997 Ford Aerostar blew a head gasket 2 days after the November 5th 2008 chase. Currently it is sleeping in the garaged, to be resurrected in the future.

As for the truck, it will undergo lots of change. Upon first glance you might think of the secret service or FBI rather than storm chase vehicle, but time will change that image.

Future plans include custom designed and built hail guards, HAM and CB radio accessories and a stronger anemometer. The interior is pretty stock. A few mounts for cameras is all there is now.

Recently purchased all terrain tires for the 4WD. Ready to tackle those muddy Kansas backroads!

Front grille guard.

So there she is. I don't have a name for her yet. A name has to be earned, not given. If you see me or her out in the field stop by and say hi.  Nothing in your-face-fancy yet but I assure you, a year from now this vehicle will take on a much different appearance! Accessories are not cheap, and I have to build it up one step at a time.

For good measure I will toss up a picture of Aerostorm, you guessed it...this website is named after it! After 175,000 miles in less than 8 years, shes getting some much needed rest but will live again someday.
