Current Chicago Radar
I have developed the following color coded scale to draw attention to my upcoming chase plans. The color of the bulletin window will highlight the chase potential, along with a brief summary of my thoughts and reasons.
GREEN: None
| It is winter or there are no chases showing up on the models that have my attention. This bulletin window will be given lowest priority during the off season and will not be updated as frequently. |
YELLOW: Watching a chase-able setup in the near future, but it has some issues or is too far away.
A setup has caught my attention and I am beginning to consider chasing it, however it is still more than 3 days away and allot can happen to change my mind. The setup may also be in close range but also has some issues that may make it not worthy of a chase. |
ORANGE: Watching a chase-able setup in the near future that is starting to look good!
A setup I want to chase is in the near future, I am starting to get excited at the thought of chasing. The models have been consistent in showing a good chase day but there is still the chance it could bomb out. People interested in chasing with me are urged to contact me at this point. |
RED: Chasing is imminent!
Unless there is some last minute disaster, I will be chasing in the near future! Red means that I have committed to a foreseeable setup or we are in the middle of an active pattern that could see me bolting out the door any minute. Always pay close attention when the red banner displays! |
DEATH: I want to chase a setup, but can't! |
Very few things in life will keep me from a chase, however eventually it is bound to happen where that dreamy setup will appear on a family members wedding day or something like that. I hope to never use this color. If you see it, send sympathy emails along with coupons for bacon or cash donations.
